Kapinjala is set in over an acre of Tobagan hillside within the old Arnos Vale Sugar Plantation Estate and boasts truly wonderful landscaped gardens which are rapidly maturing to provide some magnificent bursts of colour and a variety of delicious tropical fruit.
For the birding enthusiast there is an abundance of bird species living in the Kapinjala grounds and you are sure to see green parrots and paraquets, blue and grey tanagers, bananaquits, woodpeckers, hummingbirds, jacamars, motmots and frigate birds to name but a few.
At the bottom of the garden is a gateway leading onto the Arnos Vale Hotel Beach Path and within a few minutes you are standing on the golden sands of Arnos Vale Bay. Here, you can just relax in the sun or enjoy what is professed to be the best snorkelling on the island; a huge array of fish species and beautiful turtles in the crystal clear waters of the coral reef just metres from the shoreline.
In addition, boat trips can be taken from the bay and it is real treat to spend a day on Cocomotion, especially when you can be collected from and delivered back to the beach so close to home!
